I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.”

By its very nature, individual therapy varies as much as individual people vary. I tailor therapy to the particular needs and goals of each individual client. People are helped in different ways and I specialize in finding the best way for each client to learn, grow and attain his or her goals. (For more, please see My Approach to Therapy.)
Some of the areas I have covered with clients in individual counseling include:
- Abuse (current and past)
- Alcohol and Other Addictions
- Anger Management
- Anxiety & Phobias
- Communication Skills
- Coping Skills
- Depression, Post-partum Depression
- Family Relationships
- Financial Difficulties
- Grief / Loss / Bereavement
- Health Problems, Chronic Illness
- Insomnia
- Life Transitions (i.e., having children, moving, job or financial changes, widowhood, retirement, etc.)
- Personal Growth
- Processing Emotions
- Romantic Relationship Issues, including Unhappiness with being Single
- Repeating Unhelpful Patterns
- Self-Esteem & Self-Image
- Self-Soothing Methods
- Social Skills
- Stress Management

Whether or not you see your specific issue listed here, that’s okay. The manner in which I conduct individual therapy is flexible, creative and, most importantly, client-centered. Together we will address your concerns and find ways to increase your happiness and satisfaction with your life.
